In 2000, Philip Romano and his wife, Lillie, started Hunger Busters–a charitable organization serving hungry people in Dallas. Since then, the Hunger Busters delivery truck has provided unparalleled mobility to transport food about the city of Dallas and bring healthy sustenance to those in need, wherever they may be. Beginning as a mobile, street-level feeding operation for those without homes, Hunger Busters has since expanded in size and scope, offering a broad range of programs that improve lives day after day.
Today, in addition to serving the homeless, Hunger Busters serves members of the community struggling to make ends meet, including hungry, homebound senior citizens and families living in low-income housing.
