Philip J. Romano
Philip J. Romano is an investor, entrepreneur, artist, nationally-renowned restaurateur and one of
the Founders of The Food Foundation dba Hunger Busters. Involved in the restaurant business for forty
years, in the course of his career, he has created over twenty-five concepts. Romano currently owns
and operates the following restaurant concepts: eatZi’s Market & Bakery, Nick & Sam’s Steakhouse,
Who’s Who Burgers and Coal Vines Pizza.
In April 2006, Romano was honored by being inducted into the Dallas Business Hall of Fame.
Only 24 individuals have previously been inducted.
Lillie T. Romano
Lillie T. Romano is a philanthropist, mother of Sam and co-creator of Hunger Busters: The Food
Foundation. She is a Louisiana native but has been a Dallas resident for 15 years.
Along with her passion for philanthropic works Lillie enjoys playing tennis, collecting art, and
walking with her Golden Retrievers. Lillie Romano takes a special interest in charitable organizations
that benefit children. She believes every child deserves love and hope for future.
